Message place, I just don't shoot much that calls for it. I have a 1.8, and will throw it on the cam occasionally when the mood suits. I don't doubt the 1.4 is even that much better.

Whenever I'm shooting in low light, it's usually chasing my kids around, and if wide open, I'd never catch them in focus. Just setting the flash on a light stand in the corner pointed at the ceiling with a wireless transmitter seems to work better for me.

I'm sure if I had a 17-40 I'd not use my Tammy too much either. :)
